The short version
Your plays and your roster are yours. We run the software that holds them. Don't upload film of players you don't have permission to film. The AI is a coaching assistant, not a coach — every call on the field is yours.
1. Who this is between
These terms are between you and Tower Mountain Studios ("we", "us"), which operates PlaybookMax. By creating an account or using the app you accept them.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Give us accurate information and keep your email current, since that is how we reach you about your team.
Coaches invite others onto a team with a join code. Anyone you invite gets the access their role allows, so treat join codes like keys and issue a new one if a code gets out.
3. Your content stays yours
Everything you put into PlaybookMax — plays, playbooks, rosters, notes, film, clips, messages — remains yours. You give us permission to store it, display it to the people on your team, and process it so the features work: generating a play, drafting a breakdown, finding snaps in film, rendering a clip. That permission exists only to operate the service for you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not sell it.
4. Players, film, and permission
Youth football means minors. You are responsible for having the right to enter a player's information and to upload film they appear in — including any consent your league, school, or district requires from parents and guardians.
Only enter contact details for families who expect to hear from their team. Don't upload film you don't have the rights to. If a parent asks for their child's information to be removed, tell us and we will remove it.
5. Using it properly
Don't:
- Upload anything unlawful, harassing, or that you have no right to share.
- Use another coach's account, or share access with people outside your program.
- Try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use PlaybookMax to build a competing product.
- Use team chat to harass anyone, particularly a player.
We can suspend or close an account that does these things.
6. What the AI can and can't do
PlaybookMax generates plays, breakdowns, coaching notes, and film markers automatically. These are suggestions produced by software, and they can be wrong — a formation may be off, a film marker may miss a snap, a breakdown may misread a defence. Check anything before you install it or teach it.
Nothing the app produces is coaching, medical, safety, or legal advice. Decisions about what your team runs, and about a player's health and safety, stay with the adults responsible for them.
7. Free and paid
Playbooks, the AI playcaller, roster, schedule, route trees, coach chat, and family access are free. Film Study — uploading game film, automatic play detection, and clips — is a paid subscription, because processing video costs real money to run. Current pricing is on the pricing page.
Subscriptions bought in the iOS app
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us.
We may change prices. If a change affects an active subscription we will tell you first, and it will not take effect until your next renewal.
8. Stopping
You can stop using PlaybookMax and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we have to for legal or security reasons. If we discontinue the service we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your playbook.
9. The service is provided as is
We work to keep PlaybookMax available and accurate, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI will be right. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will update the date above and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use PlaybookMax after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington.
